ONE FINE DAY: the best Sunday of the semester
The Sunday during finals was a gorgeous day and Nate and the fantastic idea that none of us should be indoors on such a beautiful so some of us took a very long study break. We started with the idea of playing Ultimate Frisbee. The
game started out with just me, Nate, Jordan, and Ian but the wind was too much for the little Frisbee so the Ultimate Frisbee didn't work out. But more people joined and instead of just throwing the Frisbee around a game of sorts was
started which was tackle whoever has the Frisbee. Eventually teams were formed and the Frisbee was passed but since there was no goal the game died out rather quickly. Then we decided that creek stomping was the next thing for us to do.
Creek stomping was highly enjoyable even though the water was freezing. We walked all the way until we found the clay wall which Nate had to dig into to get some clay to play with. We ended our walk because it was dinner time. Dinner was the usual Sunday afternoon left overs, but to make up for that we had an ice cream sundae. A communal five flavored ice cream mountain that was devoured in moments.
After the beautiful ice cream sundae we went up to the art building so that Nate could play with the creek clay that he got on our walk. He was able to make a little bowl and a bottle but we'll have to wait until the fall before it is complete and glazed.
When Nate was done playing in with his clay me, him, Jordan, and Sonja played a riveting game of Settlers and then Matt came home and turned the game into arm wrestling and we learned that Nate and Matt are pretty equally matched as are me and Sonja.
